Today, GACL stands tall as one of the country’s largest caustic soda manufacturers, commanding over 20% of the domestic market. Our remarkable growth journey, from a modest initial capacity of 37,425 Tonnes Per Annum, has now culminated in a towering capacity of 8,52,400 Tonnes Per Annum (Including our subsidiary Company). We operate across four expansive complexes in Vadodara and Dahej, offering an extensive product portfolio of over 35 diverse products.
With a widespread dealer network, in-house research and development capabilities, and proximity to vital raw materials and markets, GACL consistently sets new benchmarks. Our commitment to the nation’s prosperity is unyielding. In collaboration with the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, we have achieved a significant milestone by developing an eco-friendly process for producing the super-specialty chemical, Hydrazine Hydrate (H6N2O). This pioneering accomplishment has garnered patents from both the Government of India and the United States. Leveraging this technology, we have set up a 10,000 MTA Hydrazine Hydrate commercial-scale plant at our Dahej unit, making us India’s first manufacturer of this vital chemical. This development not only reduces our reliance on imports but also resonates with the vision of our Hon’ble Prime Minister towards “Atmanirbhar Bharat.”
With an unwavering focus on the future, we are actively exploring the manufacturing of various Chlorine-based products to optimize Caustic Soda production while maintaining our leadership in Chlor-Alkali and downstream products. Furthermore, we are diligently pursuing opportunities to establish plants for producing value-added products with applications in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, personal care products, detergents, epoxy resins, and other promising fields.
